Koujou Kengaku

Assalamu'alaikum,

First of all, I would like to wish Salam Aidiladha to everyone... let's celebrate it with modesty. May it bring goodnes to all of us.

Last month I had a trip with my classmates to Tokyo. "Koujou kengaku". Literally, it means "factory visit". But that doesn't mean you can only visit factories.... =). We visited;
-JAL(Japan Airline) maitainance department.
- IHI(some sort of heavy industry factory)
- fujikura(fiber optic manufacturer)
-ALSOK(a security firm. ALways Security OKay)
-NHK(Nippon Housou Kyoukai. In English it means Japan Broadcasting Corporation).

Tokyo and Akita

We were permitted to take pictures only at JAL and ALSOK. Can't complain about that. Information management and security is very strict when we come to companies that deal with technology and manufacturing.

robot ALSOK. Boleh meronda, tapi tak boleh tangkap penjenayah..

It's quite hard for me to describe about each visit in detail, but there is one thing I noticed during the visit. Japanese are extreme hardworkers. Wish I could be like them. But of course, I can be like them. Work as you will live forever, and pray as you will die tomorrow. Ha, betul ke aku translate ni? Ilmu yang dah ada perlu diamal. Kalau belajar tinggi, ilmu banyak, tapi tak kerja, rugilah.

Exam dah habis.

Its weekend and I am in exam mode, but I think its ok to take some time to update. Finished six papers, and there are still six more to go. Alhamdulillah, so far I managed to answer the papers quite well, not perfect though. Last paper is on Wednesday. Its cold outside, but "yuki"less hehe.

Masshiro. Tapi sekarang semua dah cair kembali..

A friend introduced to me a new cookery website. Can check it out at my favourite links. Love to try all those recipe, but I am a lazy guy la. Plus, there are ingreadients I can't get in Japan.

By the way, found this story on my friend's blog. Not sure if it is a fiction, but there is something we can learn from it, regardless whether we are the minority or majority in our place.

"Price Of Imaan"

Several years ago an Imaam moved to London. He often took the bus from his home to the downtown area. Some weeks after he arrived, he had occasion to ride the same bus. When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him twenty pence too much change. As he considered what to do, he thought to himself, you better give the twenty pence back. It would be wrong to keep it. Then he thought, oh forget it, it's only twenty pence. Who would worry about this little amount? Anyway, the bus company already gets too much fare; they will never miss it. Accept it as a gift from Almighty Allah and keep quite.

When his stop came, the Imaam paused momentarily at the door, then he handed the twenty pence back to the driver and said ' Here, you gave me too much change.' The driver with a smile replied ' Aren't you the new Imaam in this area? I have been thinking lately about going to worship at your mosque. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too much change.'

When the Imaam stepped off the bus, his knees became weak and soft. He had to grab the nearest light pole and held for support, and looked up to the heavens and cried 'Oh Allah, I almost sold Islam for twenty pence!'

Remember, we may never see the impact our actions have on people. Sometimes we are the only knowledge of Quran someone will read, or the only Islam a non-Muslim will see. What we need to provide, Insha Allah is an example for others to see. Be careful and be honest everyday, because you never know who is watching your actions and judging you as a Muslim.

I stop here. Doakan saya untuk exam...
